True. But what alternative is there that wouldn't be even more inclined to make those decisions based on purely political/ideological/regional/social lines? Any system dependent on people will have it's flaws and abuses. The idea is to minimize those as much as possible.Politics has always been involved with the court. It is an imperfect system. Politics has always been involved with the court. It is an imperfect system. I don't know the solution. Considering the genius of Madison and the rest who wrote the Constitution I can't believe that they didn't also consider the problems and hit on the court as the best possible solution in light of the alternatives. And surely you can agree that they've been on the mark far more often than not?
