Fred Thompson NOT Good on Illegal Immigration Issue
(Power Line News)
http://www.plnewsforum.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/18610/
Ryan Sager of the New York Sun goes after everyone in a negative way except Rudy.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
“Restrictionist” is a new one on me.
Fredipedia: The Definitive Fred Thompson Reference
Please FReepmail jellybean if you want on/off this list. WARNING: This ping list is EXTREMELY active.
Where did this word “restrictionist” come from? And what does it mean, exactly? Sheesh. Just when I think I finally have “neo-con” figured out, along comes another buzzword.
Are you saying that his quotations of Thompson are false? Do you know that Thompson’s voting record on McCain-Feingold, immigration and trade for cheap labor are going to be known by most voters before long? It will have to be confronted sooner or later. He (recent comments in interviews contradictory to his record) differs quite a bit on those issues from Duncan Hunter.
And of course, they ALWAYS leave out this quote from the Mike Wallace interview: "If we can make it nearly impossible for an invader to get a job and give the border patrol the authority and resources to arrest illegals and send them back where they came from, more than half the battle will have been won."
Bookmarked.
Darn, I guess I am just a Restrictionist for being against crime and violence! LOL
Will you honor the will of the people.
So we’re all supposed to be mad at Fred now? Wow, I didn’t know he had even declared yet. I was just watching him chewing his cud on “Law and Order” the other night.
PING!
I’m supporting Duncan Hunter but I agree with Mr. Thompson. If we stop why they come, many will go home on their own. He needs to take a look at Congress before going after business though.
I noticed Ryan Sager did hit pieces on Mitt Romney and other candidates. Now Thompson. Maybe its true.
What I know to be untrue is Sager’s trying to position Rudy as anything but open border type.
I’d like to hear Thompson’s approach to immigration. I’m a Romney supporter, but I could get behind Thompson IF I see him speaking of a logical approach to immigration.
So far, I only like Romney and Hunter on the issue, and of those two, only Romney is electable.
This is the deciding issue for me in this election. I do not want my country turning into a socialist bario. I’ve already seen what the waves of Mexican immigrants have done to a land, and it isn’t pretty.
Invented word by the open borders lobby against those who dont want amnesty.

Dittos on this.
I’m in favor of legal immigration, too, for US citizens who marry foreigners and for English-speaking foreigners (even Indians). ...not for gigantic hordes of third-world slaves whose allegiances are questionable and whose languages and social values are costly for us.
Employers seduced nearly all wives into full time labor while their kids are being reared by bureaucrats. It appears that they’re not satisfied with that now and want to replace the working mothers with mobs of anti-American third-worlders.
