I never mentioned pedophiles. I think that they do not choose to be sexually interested in children but that is not relevant to this discussion because children are incapable of consent so exploitation of children could never be justifiable.
In the case of two adults, both are capable of consent and the relationship is not exploitative, and thus inherently different.
It's interesting you seem to assume that heterosexuality is the innate tendency of all people except in the case of nonnormative orientations, and then it becomes about choice. Or perhaps I am assuming to much from my own experience, perhaps in your case heterosexuality was not innate and you did make a conscious choice at puberty to only pursue relationships with the opposite sex. That would better explain your dogmatism on this issue. If so I must admire your self-discipline.

You're compiling various things that do not belong in the same category. No one would tell a pedophile to go out and rape children. I would tell a homosexual not to agonize about their homosexual feelings because I do not consider those wrong. I have the idea you're thinking the homosexual "alternate lifestyle" is all about wild unprotected sex. I would not suggest that anyone go out and have wild unprotected sex, I would strongly discourage this.
However, in the case we were talking about, the person involved is a woman who has never been in a sexual relationship with anyone and who is not interested in being in a relationship with more than one person, ideally, in her entire life. You say that she has chosen selfishly to be attracted to other women although she's never had sex with anyone and has obtained no tangible rewards for her sexual orientation, just suffering. What kind of ridiculous "selfishness" is that?
