I’m not talking about economics, sure Sam won’t want for much financially, but who sets the moral compass in Sam’s life, the parents or the grandparents? Sam is going to be one confused little boy if the value of his grandfather comes in direct conflict with the values of his hardcore lesbian mothers.

A boy especially needs the strong role of a father in his life who has a clue about what’s right and what’s wrong. Sam will not have that and will no doubt have to wrestle with loving his lesbian mothers against hating what they are or hating those that condemn them.
