With these comments, Edwards shows himself completely and utterly ignorant and misinformed about the greatest threat to civilization since the Nazis. Islamic terrorists are active worldwide, including within the Islamic countries. They are NOT a creation of George Bush. Edwards is therefore not qualified for the presidency.

The problem is, it's not just John Edwards who believes that line of BS. Well, to be fair, we don't really know that Edwards believes it, because he's a snake-oil-selling, carnival-barking plaintiff's attorney who would sue his own mother if the price were right. But a hell of a lot of people apparently do believe that the threat of radical Islam is just a big fairy tale cooked up by the Bush Administration to seize power or enrich Haliburton or whatever, and that is far more troubling.

I don’t think Edwards is misinformed at all. He knows the truth of the matter — which makes this particular stance all more dastardly. He’ll say whatever it takes to appeal to the MoveOn, DU wingnuts primary voters — even it means saying something that he knows undermines the security of his country.

That sums up all these Democrats; they will do anything to achieve short-term political gains — including knowingly promoting policies that endanger American lives.
