Menendez is REAL big on the “family reunification” angle. Promises to propose a “series of amendments” (starting today) to “improve” the legislation in this regard.
That was the big loophole of the Immigration act of 1965. The number of family reunification visas was unlimited, and quickly led to chain immigration. This was counter to the intention of family reunification visas, which were designed to end the separation of U.S. citizens from their families.
