This is one thing that I have never quite understood. Where do we get the right to demand no proliferation from another sovereign nation?

Wait a minute, B4. What has all that talk about multiculturalism and globalism meant to you? Did you think it was all for pulling back America's influence? Not a chance! With the rate of knowledge expanding in the world today, there is no way we can ignore the technological developments of our enemies and retreat into "playing nice."

I'll tell you what the opposite of globalism means to me. It means understanding that we are so much more advanced than the rest of the world that we have an obligation to protect our advantage. It means that western civilization is the most important civilization on the planet. It tells me that Americans and their fellow allies in France, Denmark, Poland, and the British Commonwealth are the caretakers of the modern world, having defeated the Tripartite Germans, Italians, and Japanese during WWII, and also having brought down the Soviet Union at the end of the Cold War.

I have no interest in permitting tinhorn dictators from threatening America or its interests of any kind. I am not an isolationist by any means. If there's a threat to my people, I say erradicate it. End of story.

I'm the opposite of an isolationist in every way. The difference between me and a globalist is that I love the American people much more than others on the planet. It's really that simple for me. I could never consider isolating America and ending the advance of liberty that has happened since WWII. But we owe those who died in WWII a strong stewardship for the peace and prosperity that they bought for us with their blood. It shall never have been given for naught.

Did you ever read what former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm had to say about 'multiculturalism'? >>"(snip) to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds."<<

The Republican method of globalism being promoted by this President appears to be making trading treaties which will disolve our sovereign borders and sharing the advanced manufacturing technologies of American industries with foreigners while strengthening the financial situation of the United Nations.

I have never been accused of promoting "retreat into "playing nice." I prefer to annihilate enemies so there is no possibility of recurrence.

Speaking of dictators, have you read this article? Bush grants presidency extraordinary powers Directive for emergencies apparently gives authority without congressional oversight.

In no way shape or form am I a an isolationist. I'll agree to trade with every nation on earth as long as they give us the same opportunities that we give them.

I do not believe that they should have any advantages that our manufacturers won't receive from them. Anyone not willing to play fair can keep their toys off our shelves.
