That's about right too. When I lived there 10 years ago, there was vigorous debate about reunification and allot of things were learned in observing the German reunification. The SK gov't knew then that it would be 100 times tougher to reunify North and South in Korea as it was reunifying East and West Germany.
30-40 years ago the question was why shouldn't we try to reunify? The question now is why should we? OTOH, there are many SK who have immediate family up there they would like to see again that haven't been heard from in 50 years.
