We’d do it all again.
Failed my reenlistment physical at Fort Sam last month. Something about being half deaf. I told the Army it was all their fault that I can’t hear anymore. They said that you can’t be 53 and half deaf and get into the National Guard and it doesn’t matter whose friggen fault it is.
They were insensitive and hurt my feelings!!! I had some old platoon sergeant things that I really wanted to tell ‘em, colorful things, but I was trying to stay on their good side in case they might change their minds. LOL

I know you would Bruce but you've done enough already and we are grateful. Think of that tinnitus you've got as Freedom ringing.:o) Hope we get to see you around Memorial Day. Thank you again for your service.

My family still place flags on the graves of our ancestors that served in the military, every Memorial Day.
Including those that fought in the Confederate army.
"Even though he was my enemy, he was still my brother."
I remember my Great Grandfather saying this of his brother. They fought on different sides of the War between the States.
