He’s one of two with a conservative record. Don’t discount Hunter just because he doesn’t have face recognition yet.
I like Hunter, but his protectionism stances and advocation of high tariffs give him the lowest rating in the pro-growth groups like Club for Growth and the ACU. I am a capitalist, and I think we should be looking for ways to maximize mutually beneficial, voluntary transactions ... not limit them just because goods are coming from Japan.
There are ways to improve the competitive market for American manufacturers without punishing foreign manufacturers.
BTW ... those same pro-growth groups give Tancredo the highest scores for growth, and he comes second only to Paul in reducing pork.
