If they change to a Marxist Government, that would take care of our fence problem. They will build a wall for us.

“If you look at a map, Mexico southern border is quite narrow. Our leaders look at maps and would much rather defend a narrow border then a large one. This is one of the things driving the NAU.”

So they think that everything south of Mexico is a potential enemy? I guess the oligarchs are preparing us for the next generational war. Wars make money.

You raise a valid point that should be discussed.

Shutting down the flow of illegal immigrants into the US will put pressure back on Mexico to fix it's own problem instead of exporting them to us.

Mexico's problem is that while the Nation is wealthy, the wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, and those few work to keep it that way. They maintain their power by cutting off opportunity for others.

Millions of Mexican come north searching for opportunities to make their lives better because they can't find them at home, and illegally going to the US is easier than forcing change at home.

But if you remove the option of going to the US or make it more difficult than forcing change at home, Mexico will have to change.

The question is how will it change?

Will the people force more openness in domestic markets (at least for Mexicans)? Will they get the Mexican government to help encourage small businesses and opportunity for their people instead of helping the current wealthy class maintain their power at the expense of others?

Or will they fail to do so, which will likely cause more and more people to turn to the failed concepts of socialism and communism out of frustration. The communists are always there telling the poor how they are being abused and telling them that communism will treat everyone fairly. In truth they would trade one master for an even harsher master that would make their country less productive and overall less wealthy.

We have a much larger, better equipped, trained and motivated armed forces that does Mexico.

Most of the hispanic "immigrants" I see, which is many, seem to have a rough 'edge' about them. They look like a criminal element, prideful, arrogant, belligerent, defiant. They dress like the ghetto dwellers, the prison culture. They can't speak English because they won't, and because they don't need to. They know the U.S. government caters to their lack of English in every way. As another poster said, they seem to be on the "dark side".

Who needs millions and millions of these type of 'immigrants'? If they dare come here illegally and flaunt our nation's immigration laws, they have a criminal mentality that isn't likely to change until we as a people change and send them back to whenst they came. This is best done by fining businesses, (and fining them so that it really hurts), who use their slave-wage labor. It would dry up the illegal alien's source of jobs, and the self-deportation would begin.

"There doesn't seem to be any good solution."

There is a good solution, and it's workable and easy.

Come down of businesses who hire them, and come down hard. Hand them large fines, hit their 'bottom line', so that paying slave wage labor to illegals will become a liability to them instead of an asset. This whole thing is all about money, it is always about the money. Just follow the money and you'll see why the government wants these people to stay in our midst. Anyway, fine the businesses, hit them hard and the self-deportation of hispanic illegals will begin. They will have no reason to be here and will begin to disappear right before our eyes.

Not as Socialist as Kennedy, Clinton & Company want it to be... and importing a leftist voting proletarian can do the trick for them.

No doubt. 20+ million uneducated, unskilled, government dependent, non-English speaking, poor people comfortable with a socialist/Marxist, corrupt government is just the type of voting block to put the Democrats permanently in charge of the destruction of our Country. However, Kennedy, Bush, Kyl along with their Democrat and Republican cohorts will be to blame for the bipartisan sinking of the U.S.

this is exactly wrong. They would get a revolution in Mexico but it would be of an american kind.

why?

suddenly mexico would be full of well trained people who knew what a well run country looked like.

think they would stand for the stoopid stuff of mexican elites? not likely.

but the changes they would institute would be to make mexico a lot more like the usa.

this would be good for mexico actually. the current program is to make the USA more like mexico which is a bad deal for both countries.

It is not possible to avoid fighting a war . . . except by surrender.

If there is going to be a war in North America between Marxists and the United States, it is better for the United States to fight that war now before the enemy has a chance to increase its strength.

The nation on our southern border is already quite belligerent. The idea that allowing it to invade us with millions of economic refugess will make it less belligerent is the kind of surrender-first nonsense liberals have been spouting for years.

Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Our Founders thought America was worth the blood and toil. Do we?

Do not back away from the challenge. A nation without borders will not for long remain a nation.

If Mexico is itching for a fight, let’s give them one, just as we did 1845-1848. When we kicked their a**.

Looking on the bright side I like that and it is a very real possiblity, not as likely as a marxist take over, but real none the less.

Getting rid of illegals is not hard. We don't have to depot them, they will deport themselves if implement a few standards:

1) Increase the tax rate on all those that are non-Americans.
2) Children born here of illegal aliens (although American born) would not be classified as citizens, until they are 21, and could pass a Americanization test.
3) All money transfers to Mexico are limited to $50 per person per month.
4) All illegal aliens have to pay into SS and medicare, but those services would be only given to citizens of the United States.

American just needs to adopt a new slogan "Citizenship is the Pathway to True Freedom!"

One minor editorial change

I say plug the leak and then let’s rock.

Who cares? It’s the job of the American elite (or was before they became the treasonous revolting elite) to take care of America. The argument that we have to do it for Mexico is phony, just another fraudulent justification from the open borders crowd. The idea that we should consider what’s good for Mexico as part of what our immigration policies should be, and the fact that people have the nerve to push the idea in public, is a sign of the penetration of multiculturalism and internationalism among the American people. We no longer have any idea of what it means to be a nation.

We are probably going to have a lot of instability in Mexico anyway. For reasons that few have thought of.

Many come here, work for a while, and go home. They get used to the American way of life and thinking, and some want that to happen in Mexico. That and a lot of people that haven’t left are getting very tired of the Marxist government.

The safety valve will only delay the explosion.

It is about even that a new government in Mexico would be hostile to the US.

They blame the US government for many of their problems (which is mighty convenient for the Mexican government).

Logic tells me this “Save Mexico” stuff is stoooopid. Of course, there is nothing logical about liberals. In all seriousness, you might have a valid point.
