Domenici's screams are a lie. The bill reduces the wall on the southern border, which so far has only had 2 miles built. It also does no good to have more border patrol agents if they have no authority to enforce the law (i.e. Ramos & Compean)
Even if the border is secure, the American people don't want to put illegals on the path to citizenship.

The bill legalizes the status of 12 to 20 million illegals immediately given them probationary legal status. They are now legal. Domenici hasn’t read the entire bill you addled old man.

Domenici is a big reason why the laws haven’t been enforced. He’s been in the Senate since the ‘70s, and has done NOTHING ABOUT OUR LEAKY BORDERS, and he’s in a border state. Maybe he has seen the light.

Well- in theory- they’re supposed to do something around 6 (eastern)....but ...hard to know at this point.
HOWEVER. APPARENTLY- what they’re voting on is cloture on last year’s bill. THEN they slide THIS year’s bill in under that vote.
