There are really no words to describe this. It is truly a sad day for the GOP.

It’s utterly astounding how stupid the leaders of the GOP are.

Shamnesty is a bad deal for the GOP even if it think it’ll please its off-whoring cheap labor CEO donors.

The American People, rightly sensing its threat, will punish the GOP if this goes through, even if it’s fundamentally Dimocrat in origin, because WE ELECTED THEM AS REPUBLICANS TO STOP SUICIDAL EXCESSES LIKE THIS.

Your buddies want cheap labor? Legal workers will now have to be paid minimum wage. D’oh!

The illegals will be grateful to the GOP, and vote for them? RIGHT! They will run to the politicos who throw them the most free money. Guess who that would be?

OK guys, we've got the House and Senate on recess next week. Now is the time to call their offices, scan the newspapers, call the party headquarters, etc, find out where they might be. Are they hosting a town hall meeting? Are they coming to a GOP club picnic? Are they speaking at some high school or college graduation? We need to communicate directly with them on this. Be respectful, but be firm. It's horrible policy and even worse politics.

Chicken Little blathering from LeBott and Malkin won't get anything accomplished. Getting the facts out will. Letting our voice be heard- loud and clear- will.

Thankfully, they did not rush this vote through real quick. This gives us plenty of time to lobby our Congressmen and Senators.

Well, I think LeBoutillier is wrong about the war. We needed to fight it, and if Bush can be faulted, it is for slacking off after the military victory in Iraq. He slacked off in Iraq, and he failed to move on to Syria when that should have been done.

But LeBoutillier is certainly right about the alien amnesty bill. It will destroy the Republican party, it threatens to destroy the country, and it will fragment the conservative coalition.

Sure, eventually conservatives may get together and replace the Republican Party with a new conservative party, but in the meantime incredible damage will have been done. It’s bad enough to deal with 20 million illegal aliens in our midst. How will future generations deal with 120 million illegal aliens, or 120 million amnestied aliens?

Civil war?

The time to head this off is now.

I don’t agree with him about the war, but this Z-visa amnesty is not only political suicide, but national suicide.

“The Jonestown massacre comes to the GOP in 2007????”

Actually, it came just prior to the 2006 elections when Bush continued relentlessly to push for comprehensive immigration reform, risking and loosing both the House and the Senate!!! He knew it was a critical election year, he refused to wait until AFTER the election and pressed forward with the bipartisan OBL agenda anyway! He joined with Ted Kennedy for gawd sakes and rather than stand united AGAINST his decision, Bush loyalists took up his cause, effectively dividing the party! It makes absolutely know ‘normal’ sense why he pressed on and I can only ask if it was purposeful.

So, what that tells me is that the OBL is a very powerful one who’s agenda has been set in motion and is going to be nearly impossible to beat! Open Borders and Amnesty are probably two of the biggest next steps in the NAU/SPP agenda and we need to do everything possible to nip this agenda in the bud.

Infamous RINO quotes:

Our long national nightmare is now over. Hello President Carter.

Read my lips. No new taxes. Hello President(s) Clinton.

It's not an amnesty bill. Hello?

I have been thinking about why Bush is so set on this.

Perhaps it has something to do with www.spp.gov

I think through various treaties such as NAFTA and GATT. Our so called leaders are trying to make Canada, Mexico, and The United States one big free trade zone in North America. Kind of like the E.U. in Europe. So in the future there will be no borders between Canada, Mexico, and The United States. Bush must be viewing this like Johnson did for the Civil Rights Act? However, all of us know this will secure the DNC into the permanent majority. Moreover, destroy the United States as we know it. Finally, I am pretty sure this is part of that Globalization movement. Then again I may be wrong. Just a theory..

Here is a little bit about that site,

www.spp.gov

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP):
The SPP is a White House-led initiative among the United States and the two nations it borders – Canada and Mexico – to increase security and to enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation. The SPP is based on the principle that our prosperity is dependent on our security and recognizes that our three great nations share a belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions. The SPP outlines a comprehensive agenda for cooperation among our three countries while respecting the sovereignty and unique cultural heritage of each nation. The SPP provides a vehicle by which the United States, Canada, and Mexico can identify and resolve unnecessary obstacles to trade and it provides a means to improve our response to emergencies and increase security, thus benefiting and protecting Americans.

[.. We are witnessing political self-immolation on a major scale. ..]

Illegal/legal Aliens are ALREADY VOTING(democrat) this bill will just make it easier to do it... George Bush is the democrat party greatest secret weapon.. And he is oblivious or worse HES NOT OBLIVIOUS..

The only way republicans can make a protest non violently is to NOT VOTE IN MASS.. If not then civil war is the only choice.. Else the repubicans will become as VITAL as Canadas or Englands "conservatives" are.. Basically a timid LEFTIST light..

“Our military: crippled by a useless war with no end”

The writer of this article didn’t understand the War on Terror.

Sad.

This war is necessary, I would say is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

The Republican Party: riding high across the board when he became president. Today? A shell of its former self. An empty vessel which stands for nothing. A party which seems to favor the rich over all others. A party of the Fortune 500 Board Rooms.

I guess the author never heard of Sarbanes-Oxley. W is falling down the list of presidents, but this article is way overdone.

I wouldn't be surprised. The White House is out of touch with the American people as well as the base. Total amnesty - yeah that's the ticket to a GOP landslide in 2008!
