There has to be more to this story than revealed in this article. I can’t imagine an ER staff just letting someone go like that. If this really happened as it was written, this lady’s next of kin is going to get a huge boost to their bank account.

I can.
Easily.

You’d think something like this couldn’t happen but my sister spent 2 days on a gurney in the hallway of the University of Pennsylvania Emergency Room. The only reason they took her back into the Emergency Room in the first place is because after waiting for 2 hours in pain with no attention from anyone she asked them to return her $90.00 co-pay so she could go to another hospital. Mind you she had been told to come there by her Surgeon as she was having complications after a surgery performed at that hospital 2 weeks before. There was a man in the emergency room whose hand was literally a bloody stump. He was standing moaning in pain and had been there before we got there. The only thing I saw them do for him in the two hours I was there was wrap some gauze around his hand. I guess that was because they didn’t want him to bleed all over the floor. My sister was taken back before him. Probably because they wouldn’t have had to return his $90.00 if he left. This by the way is considered one of the best hospitals in the Philadelphia area.
