The crowd booed South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a key ally of McCain in both his 2000 and 2008 presidential bids, when he said he had worked with U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., on the immigration legislation.
"It's the best bill I think we can get to President Bush," Graham said as some in the crowd shouted "No!"
Graham was cheered earlier in his speech when he talked about the war in Iraq. After the speech, Graham said he was booed on immigration because "it's an emotional topic. People are mad."
South Carolina's other U.S. senator, Jim DeMint, is on opposite sides from Graham: He supports Romney and said he opposes an immigration bill that allows permanent residency of illegal aliens.

Has anyone heard anything from Dick Cheney’s camp on this Amnesty bill?
I just bought a box today and will continue to buy every payday weekend (started a few months ago with the Johnny Jihad syndrome that keeps popping up all around the country). Thank God the founding fathers foresaw this type of threat of future tyrants requiring the 2nd Amendment be included in the Bill of Rights. Soon it may be time for each community to start assembling and training their own militias, because the Government cant or will not protect the welfare of their legal citizens (a moot point if this abomination gets through Congress).
Good Ted Kennedy manage to give the fool Graham the kiss of death!
Imagine if Israel had an equal invasion of palestinians from gaza and the west bank. GWB was naive in iraq(instant democracy)and possibly just as naive with the mexican flood. Yes, there are good mexicans only fleeing a failed economy but mixed in are alqueda, cuban and chinese soldiers, gang members...all awaiting orders to do a RED DAWN number on us.
On the one hand you hope that this is like the irish invasion after the potato famine of 1848, but with these overwhelming numbers of invaders it is looking more and more dangerous to your OWN life and property. Are these future solid citizens, or ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing? If there ever was a JOB for homeland security, this is it.
With the electorate so 50/50 divided, an overwhelming tide of resentment could sweep a lot of dems/rinos out of office. This mice-in-the-pantry number they are doing in DC right now could well be the trigger. The french finally woke up to the dead end of socialism and the muslim invasion with Sarko’s election, can we?
Thanks for the support. We should all Keep calling Congress if we get time. It is having an effect. I’m really proud of everyone who called and told those liberal villains in congress that this Amnesty bill was a bad bill. But the battle is not yet won as the liberal media is trying to trick us into believing. This bill must be stopped.
Strange, isn’t it? The silence from the vice-president.
Reagan gave amnesty to guest workers.
Reagan said it was the biggest mistake of his presidency.
I hate the guy. He’s a total phoney and now we know it.
He really had me flim-flammed.
I don’t know if I’d call it “flim-flammed”, we vote for someone who’s less than conservative and hope they have an epiphany. But what winds up happening is they go the other way.
What’s not to boo about...this weeny should hear boos in his sleep!
FU Lindsey. You are a TRAITOR. You and the rest of the G*dd*mn RINO’s pushing this bill. You will be the death of this country. Damn you to Hell...
Graham is advancing this bill because it lays a foundation for the North American Union (yes Mr. Medved, it is real), an idea much larger than mere politics.
Bush billed himself as a “compassionate conservative” He is nothing of the kind. He’s pretty liberal on the face of it. Did we have a realistic choice? Not in the general election. I can’t remember about the first primary, but THEN was our chance to wash him away and we blew it. Not that a lot of conservatives didn’t have serious misgivings about this guy. (I voted for Alan Keyes or Forbes - I can’t remember which).
These senators are laughing at US, folks. Pieces of excrement all. Someone on the radio this morning said that DC needs an enema, and they were sure right.
Rush just said it warmed his heart to hear that Graham was booed over this. Mine too.
