I have just finished reading the book “1776” about George Washington’s first year as General of the Continental Army. On more than one occasion, the Revolutionary Forces were blessed with miraculously weather.

Yes. The one that sticks in my mind is the mysterious fog that allowed the Army to make its escape from NY, intact to fight another day. The Brits didn’t have a clue.
