I consider ones life one of ones possessions. Life and Liberty with out ones property is not quite the same.

You're in for a big shock sooner or later. I can say with 100% certainty that at some future date, you will discover that your life is only on loan. You belong to the One Who made you. (I sincerely hope it is sooner.)

My point is that "Rights" do not exist in nature. A bunny rabbit has no right to life when a hawk is hungry.

Sorry, but we're not animals, and might does not make right. Self-evidently, we were created by God, in His image, and are called to something far higher than mere ravening beasts.

Your statements have more to do with the way of thinking that brought about the Soviet Union than they do with fundamental American principles of government or morality.

The concept of rights as we know it developed around the time of Martin Luther and the reformation. Look into the Peasants Revolution that took place in Germany. These events were fresh in the minds of the Founding Fathers. They did not invent the concept of natural rights out of thin air nor interpret them from Bible scriptures alone. These events that influenced the Founding Fathers took place far before the Soviet Union.

The rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness were called inherent to our being, meaning no one gave them to us, meaning no state gave us our rights, they exist as a concept, and people can choose to ignore them if the choose.
