Senate Continues to Bypass We-The-People

With yet another indication that the US republic is about to be brought to an end, US lawmakers are doing their best to rapidly push their amnesty for illegals bill through the US Senate. This latest version of the Kennedy-McCain “let ‘em all into the country, we can sort it out later” illegal immigration proposal has been largely hidden from the American people. We know the thing exists but, the 700+ pages of it were worked out secretly and behind closed senate committee doors. The precise details of the bill have not yet been released to we-the-people and are being kept close to the vests of those who are strongly motivated to pass it; before we have the time to see what’s in it and to fully examine the fiscal and cultural crises the bill will bring to the country. However, what we already know about it, via leaks, is that - if passed - it will complete the already begun destruction of US services and place an even more untenable tax burden on US citizens. When the illegals are “legalized”, they will immediately be entitled to virtually all of the same benefits as US citizens including those who waited for years to become legal; citizens who our lawmakers - with their pro-illegals’ stance - are now laughing at and demeaning. These same lawmakers now reward the lawbreakers and punish those who follow US laws.

When passed and signed by the President of the United States, this bill will provide immediate legal status to illegal aliens. This means that US citizens will be forced to subsidize, via increased taxation of US citizens (which no longer includes any representation from elected officials), the former criminal illegals. These former illegals will then be able to feed from the already-almost-bankrupt social security trough. Again, illegals are more important to our federal lawmakers than are US citizens. Then, to add insult to the already injured US citizenry, guess who had virtually unlimited input into this pro-illegals bill and holds the sway of veto power over it? The answer is Latino groups that preach “retaking” the US Southwest for Mexico. Even the liberal Washington Post reported: “After laboring in obscurity for decades, groups such as the National Council of La Raza, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and the National Immigration Forum are virtually being granted veto power over perhaps the biggest domestic issue coming before Congress this year. Organizations that represent what is now the nation’s largest minority group are beginning to achieve power commensurate with their numbers.” The voices of the majority of the American people are effectively being ignored, if not silenced, by a Democrat-run Congress and their RINO supplicants. And our elected officials are now only listening to groups like La Raza (“the race”) and MEChA that preach: “For the race—everything. For those outside the race—nothing!” Congress is now only listening to the radical elements of society—not the majority of the American people.

As additional examples of the current trend of bowing and scraping to all that is socially radical, taxpayers are being forced to pay for Muslim foot-washing basins and prayer-rooms—at colleges, universities, airports and other public facilities. Note: This is in direct opposition to the US Supreme Court’s interpretation and ruling that referenced “separation of church and state.” Either this separation does not apply to Islam (there is no exemption stated in the aforementioned ruling) or political-correctness run amuck (even when it means the destruction of our country) now trumps US law. Although separation of church and state still strongly applies to Christianity, it is not being applied to Islam. Question: Doesn’t this not only blatantly defy the law but, overtly discriminate against only one religion—Christianity? Of course it does.

No wonder those entering the US illegally don’t care. Our “leaders” are no longer concerned about following the laws of the land either. Instead, these leaders continue to thwart the will of the American people by passing legislation it has hidden from them and then loudly curse those who disagree with their surreptitious plans. For example, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) disagrees with the current Kennedy-McCain Pro-Illegals Amnesty bill. From the Senate floor, instead of discussing it, the rationality-impaired Senator John McCain (RINO-AZ) shouted epithets at him that included: “F*** you! This is chicken*** stuff! You’ve always been against this bill and you’re just trying to derail it!” But, that’s what liberals of all persuasions do when they cannot debate an issue logically—they shout, curse and/or yell in attempts to shut down their opponents. One can only hope that it will be derailed. But, I doubt it. On this issue and an increasing number of others, Congress and the POTUS are no longer paying any attention to the ones that brought them to the dance. They have found new partners who are increasingly representatives from radicalized groups such as La Raza, MEChA and all other members of the Aztlan movement—and of course radical Islam. These are the ones our congressional “representatives” are listening to and the new masters they are following. Apparently, to all three braches of the US government, we American citizens have reached the end of our run. We’re no longer of any real import to the ones we elected. And, until we take to the streets as have illegal immigrants and their racist supporters, my guess is that Congress will continue to pay little-to-no attention to us. As an almost last ditch effort to stop this tornadic Amnesty bill that threatens to further destroy our communities, you can still call or write the following: http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/challenges.php?id=993867

The Senate vote is scheduled for Monday—so you need to act now. At this juncture, our country is being legislated away from us by self-serving, politically ambitious and increasingly anti-democratic politicians. Either we act now and tell our politicians that we will not accept their continuing attempts to remove us from the decision processes for the USA—and back it up with actions—or we will be flying the Mexican flag by the end of the year.

Senate Continues to Bypass We-The-People

Elections are coming soon.
That's what elections are for.

If the voters keep electing self-enriching doofuses, that's the government we deserve.

This bill will solve the problem. The politician’s problem that is. Once signed into law there will no longer be any “illegal aliens” or “illegal immigrants.” It will no longer, technically, be a lie to call them “undocumented immigrants.” Viola! a stroke of the pen and they will all correctly and legally be “undocumented immigrants” and “citizens-in-waiting.” Problem solved; no one will be able to use the terms “illegal aliens” or “illegal immigrants” any longer as, technically, they won’t be and this new talking point will be end-of-discussion and cover for all the cowardly pols.

If you’re really into self-reliance you’ll start with iron ore and saltpeter deposits. ;^)

Sadly I am getting convinced that would be the answer. But sadly again, I don’t think it will happen. Americans are use to getting boiled slowly. Once this passes we’re cooked. The congress is our only hope. Let your congressman they aren’t getting off the hook this time. This is depressing and completely insane. The BAS**RDS!

IMO, the Republican Party has been painted into a corner and is really screwed.

For...no matter how much contorting the GOP does in their attempts to placate the Right...Madame President Hillary Clinton will...with a stoke of a pen...grant a pardon and forgive all owed fines and penalties written into the legislation...thus cementing the vast majority of Hispanics as good Democrats.

That is what's on the horizon.

It's a common occurrence across the country which is why I continually say in these parts that if a bad Constitutional amendment comes up like allowing naturalized citizens to run for President, we're screwed. Ditto for those who believe the road to reform lies in reversing the 17th amendment. The state legislatures are doing whatever they please, the people be damned.

Of course, the people are very much to blame for being damned because they don't vote these clymers out. They don't understand that participatory government means their participation includes paying attention to what their votes do, not sitting at home waiting for the MSM to tell them how they're supposed to think.

The election in 2008 will be real interesting.

Problem is, conservatives will be pissed (and rightly so), not vote and then what? It's a death spiral.

At this juncture, our country is being legislated away from us by self-serving, politically ambitious and increasingly anti-democratic politicians.

Term Limits would have stopped some of this - next election? I hope so. Meanwhile, why are "we the people" allowing men like Ted Kennedy, Patrick Leahy, Dick Durbin, John McCain etc. bully us into submission over an obvious bad piece of legislation that Senator Kyl had this to say:

"From my perspective, it's not perfect, but it represents the best opportunity that we have in a bipartisan way to do something about this problem. And if we had not gotten together as Republicans and Democrats to develop this bipartisan consensus, we can be assured that there would not be a bill passed this year, and probably not next year," Kyl said."

There is no reason to pass any bill that is fraught with stupidity. Not voting for your party in the next election is no solution - the problem is now and the action is NOW and up to "We The People" to somehow get this stupid worked over Kennedy bill tabled.

Close our borders now!
Start the work of weeding out the felons and deporting them - no jail time on the taxpayer's backs.
Stop giving sustenance to the felon's children via education and medical help.
Demand our Laws on immigration be enforced and then enforce them across the nation.
Don’t stop calling your elected urging them, nay, demanding they obey the United States Constitution and our laws.
Ted Kennedy has too much power as do those who have served longer than eight years in either congress or the senate. TERM LIMITS are a must for every elected servant of the people.

End this madness with your phone calls, fax’s and e-mails.

THIS KENNEDY, MCCAIN BILL IS A MESS – DO NOT LET IT PASS!

IMO, the Republican Party has been painted into a corner and is really screwed.

I might have a little sympathy for them if they weren't the ones holding the paint brushes

As for being screwed: "leadership" can get them out of the hot seat.

Unfortunately, the GOP is bereft of leadership. Unprincipled RINO's and corruption have neutered the party

It's time to throw the bums out and start fresh

This is true and it all began the day WE allowed them to withhold, tax US without accountability or responsibility. The heart of their power is the 60K page joke of a tax code.

There's one tiny point in this Billsh*t that hasn't been addressed by either side - except that is for the general stink illegals themselves and the 'activists' have raised about the bill itself -- That the illegals have to pass a criminal background check.

The big brouhaha in the MSM seems to be over the $5.00 fine (sarc) they have to pay and not the criminal background check.

Those 'criminal' illegals are exempt from getting the Z Visa and if we are to believe Dubya and Chertoff they will be deported - period, end, stop.

Now, since a great percentage of illegals have already BEEN caught AND deported, or ordered by a court to be deported at least once - they fall into this 'criminal' classification and are therefore exempt. This exclusion also pertains to all repeat drunk drivers - another great percentage of illegal Males. Then we get into all the convicted Felons in our jails and prisons.

So, IF all is true, instead of 12 million illegals (25 mill is more like it IMO) getting this free pass and flooding our country. When all is said and done, about thirty Mexicans and one Guatemalan will meet the 'non criminal' requirements.

THAT is why IMO the illegals and the 'activists' are raising hell and want complete unqualified 'amnesty'. They know that finger prints don't lie and 99.9992% ARE 'criminals' under the law and do not qualify. Everyone of them if caught will be deported so this Bill does absolutely nothing for them.

That is, IF we are to believe Dubya, Chertoff and Congress.

No, I'm not pissed, I'm over it.

I will be voting, voting my principles.

If a GOP candidate lines up with my principles, they will get my vote, If not. Oh well.

I AM DONE PUTTING gutless, feckless pseudo conservatives in office only to be pissed on.
