It looks like we have two powerhouse conservative thinkers and commentators coming back onto the blog scene in full force.
Bill Whittle is to have his newest essay this coming monday.
Rachel Lucas is coming back to the blogsphere after a long hiatus.
There is hope for us yet! http://ejectejecteject.com/
Never heard of either of them. Who are they?
I suggest heading over to Bill’s site. ejectejecteject.com and start reading his essays that are on the right bar.
Give yourself a good 4 hours to catch up.
Once you read you will understand how good it is to have him, and Rachel back.
Whittle’s stuff is NOT light reading, but it’s very good. He’s actually got a lot of stuff written, it would take a long long time to “catch up” with everything, but he’s writing a new book chapter by chapter and I guess his latest chapter’s up.
Yeah,
I guess I would classify his stuff as “lunch at the computer” reading.....and dinner.
I don’t know much about Rachel, but Bill Whittle is an extremely talented writer who is brilliant at exposing the fallancies of the left.
Here’s a nice sample of his thinking, exposing the popular “No blood for oil” fallancy:
Likewise with a “war for oil.” What would a real “war for oil” look like? Well, US troops would have sped to the oilfields with everything we had. Everything we had. Then, secure convoy routes would have been established to the nearest port - probably Basra - and the US Navy would essentially line the entire gulf with wall-to-wall warships in order to ensure the safe passage of US-flagged tankers into and out of the region.

I love that thought - tell ‘em what a REAL War for Oil is like, and then you prove that’s not what we’re fighting today.
It’s worth mentioning that I have no idea whether his essay will appear on Monday. I hope it will, but he is a meticulous writer. I must quote Douglas Adams, another meticulous writer, albiet of an entirely different genre: “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”
If he sounds interesting, I recommend starting here and then reading the rest of his stuff:

Thanks!
Rachel Lucas is one of the earlies, who inspired other bloggers. She dropped out of sight for personal reasons a few years ago.
I liked his “Tribes” essay.
Semper Fi,
My favorite of his past essays:

so fitting and so well written.
Bill’s back...and better than ever:)
Oh BOY are you in for a treat! Bill Whittle...is a treasure.
Set aside some time to read his pieces. You’ll never regret it!
Ejectia!
Thanks for encouraging me. Wonderful stuff!
I finally got around to reading some today. It took me 2 hours to read one piece because I sat thinking and talking to myself all the while I was reading. :) He really is great.
