I agree, but you will find that the Church’s position on the death penalty is not near as absolute as that as abortion. There are circumstances when the death penalty is permissible, even necessary, though rare. I am not sure where O’Reilly and Hannity stand on the death penalty, but I know where they stand on contraception, which is dissenting from Church teaching. Perhaps it isn’t as grave, but still grave.

O’Reilly is against the death penalty. He believes people should instead be sentenced to hard labor as true punishment.
