But this is the first I've heard about Bill O’Reilly and the beginning of life. He just did an expose on Planned Parenthood this week. He’s exposed Tiller the Killer several times. Based on the amount of reporting that clearly put abortion in a negative light I figured Bill was pretty solid on the Pro-Life side.
I have not seen any other mainstream news anchor do what Bill has done against the abortion ghouls. Have any of you fellow Freepers?
Sadly I have seen him rather accepting of the homo lifestyle, which of course is unacceptable for a Catholic to do.
Bill O’Reilly is Catholic, and espouses many Christian views and strongly defends religious traditionalism in this country. But he’s more of a religious “culturist”, believing in something because that’s the way it’s always been done in America.
When I hear him talk on religious matters, it’s obvious he does not understand basic doctrine. For instance, he thinks much of the bible is parables instead of actual truth. This leads him into error.
I’ve seen the same thing about Bill as you have. He’s done a lot for kids who are molested in trying to get judges to give them the sentences they deserve and to arrest people who help them. He’s pro life and I think he’s homo tolerant. He’s been nasty to born again Christians when they’re on there as well. He’s not born again himself and sometimes what BAC’s have to say bothers his theology. Oh well, he ain’t the first guy....

I agree with you if you think that the airwaves are better for having him on, and I consider myself a fan. However, in the theology department he is pretty lacking. On the air, I once heard him say that salvation is based on just living a good enough life, and then you're in. Right then, he admitted to being a full Pelagian. From what I have learned about Catholicism on FR, that is a formal heresy.
