I’d be better off being illegal. I think it would behoove me to change my name (I am fluent enough in Spanish), make up a SSN, and then never pay taxes. I could keep my real jobs and earn some extra cash tax free - it would be “too difficult to determine my tax liability”.

Another reason to never, ever, being filing. Once you file, they’ve got you by the balls. If you’ve ever reported, don’t stop. But if you’ve never started, hey man - it would be too hard to determine your tax liability!

My husband had an uncle who lived in a small town that never filed income tax and worked strictly on a cash basis.

He never got caught. Many of these “hard working” people don’t pay a dime of tax either. What makes you think that they are going to come forward now? What a laugh.

Me and my husband pay through the nose. Our tax liability is unbelievable. I got my SS statement last week and that is another real screwing.

It is ubelievable that the courts have given so much power to the IRS to prosecute harass American citizens, but these guys are getting a free pass.
