Drought 'could be about to break'

THE El Nino weather system has run its course and the worst drought in a century could be coming to an end, the Bureau of Meterology says, as famers in south-eastern Australia rejoice at heavy rain. JUST three weeks ago the drought-stricken Graham family got down on their knees and prayed for the skies to open and fill their cracked-earth dams. Yesterday their prayers were answered when 27mm fell on their parched property near Griffith - the first decent rain since April 2005 when they got 30mm. While the much needed rain was a welcome relief for the Graham family, the downpour was dwarfed by even more impressive falls across the state. Bourke, in the state's northwest, recorded 80mm of rain in less than 24 hours. The state's Central West also recorded impressive falls with Cumnock getting 60mm in the same period. Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) senior forecaster Phil King confirmed the rainfall was promising for all industries, as farmers fought to survive on the land. However, while farmers are benefiting from the soakings, Mr King said water reservoirs and catchments across the country had yet to record a significant volume change. Mr King said the rainfall reflected a shift in weather patterns back to a more normal situation following an end to the drought-making El Nino and signs emerging of its opposite, a La Nina, which brings rain. "The El Nino is over,'' he said. "The global patterns are indicating there are more neutral and natural conditions and with the rainfalls, there are signs we have returned to more normal patterns.'.

The church of Al Gore worshipers in Australia predicted the drought would be permanent unless Australia went Kyoto. The weather bureau said that ocean temperatures were returning to "normal". As usual, climate is showing itself to be cyclical - proving once again that the church of global warming priests like Gore etc etc are just hypocritical expoliters of people's fears and ignorance in order to perpetuate their anti-capitalist and anti-western agenda.

This is an incredibly brave forecast, given that the globe always, every year, shifts from dry to rain in the Northern hemisphere; rain to dry in the South.

There are exceptions given ocean currents and the National Geographic’s definition of the global equator.

Algore and this report are obviously just drivel and more drivel.
