"We can't even enforce the laws we already have. How are we going to force them to learn English?!"

We can do that very, very easily my friend. Just make English the official language of America, which forces all job applications in America to be in English, all driver's license applications in English, EVERYTHING in English. We rid ourselves of all those business and government agency automated answering machines that give information in both English and Spanish and just give info in English. You get the point, just make America an English speaking country again and stop catering to them as we do, and the problem is solved. No "enforcement" needed. Then they will either have to assimilate or go somewhere where people can understand them.

Okay,so they get the illegals chipped cards, and then they hand out chipped drivers licenses to the citizens.

This stinks worse than the dead skunk in the road unless it overloads whatever gps gyro system they’ve got cooking.

"I find it hard to understand how Tony, at this point in his life, wants to spend his time arguing and fighting for this. Loyalty is commendable, but geez..."

Tony has always had the view that a comprehensive immigration bill was a good thing. He defended it on his radio show and his listeners couldn't understand his position then.

I hate being treated like I am an idiot. I have more degrees than a damn thermometer. I have a doctoral degree and 5 years in surgical residency. I hate to know that the people in Washington, in a party which I have always supported are absolutely NO DIFFERENT from than ***damn democrats. They think they can lie the the adult public and we will simply fall into line. Well, not this time. They are destroying my childrens' country. They are turning it into a third world country......and will not give a explaination to the electorate. If the republicans allow this through, it will mean a 1 party system in this country, and that party will be the Jackass party.

The republicans are committing suicide politically. What are they thinking?

I agree this should be done, but make no mistake it will be anything but easy to do. It would be easier the have a national kill cute puppies day than make english as the official language.

"What are they thinking?"

I've been wondering that myself. Here's my guess, from trying to look at it from the perspective of the Repubs in the Senate.

With Dems running both houses and Hillary looking like better than 50% chance of winning in '08, the Repubs in Congress have their own base tied over a barrel. The base knows that they'll have to do an all-out effort in '08 to try to get back at least one house of Congress. The base will have to line up behind every incumbent, no matter how detested, just to try to get one house under Repub control, or else Hillary and her flying monkeys will unleash a seriously unholy Reign of Leftard Error. Every domestic social issue you can think of, moonbats running everything. So the Repub Senators have the base over a barrel. They can get away with anything, and they'll still have the base crawling over broken glass to vote for them in Nov. 08, because just look at the alternative.

That's how they see it, I think. And face it, the alternative is worse. Think Dennis Kucinich as head of Dept. of Homeland Security starting Jan. 09. Koom-bai-yah as the new National Anthem. Etc. Where are we going to go? The base has nowhere to go, and the Senate Republicans know it. So they can do whatever they want, for any reason, and throw sand in our eyes if we ask what the heck they're doing.

Because we only have two parties, and one of them (the Dems) is right now seriously insane, we effectively only have one viable party. And in one-party states, the only game in town gets to do whatever it wants. And we have the "choice" of voting "Da" for the still-barely-sane party, or throwing our vote away on the insane party. This is why the Repubs know they can treat you like an idiot, and you'll keep coming back to vote for them. The looneyness of the Dems is what is giving them this license.

If they have broken the law while they’re here, they’re not eligible.

So that means ZERO since they broke the law coming over here.

Isn't it nice to know that we Citizens are all trackable through federal databases!

I still say...what makes anyone believe these illegals will even bother to show up if these laws are passed? Would you show up if you had to jump through the hoops being presented or would you just stay in the shadows?
If you hadn't been found yet why wave a flag saying here I am.

"There are a series of laws that have already made their way through that are going to require biometric information from everybody, real ID for U.S. citizens."

See my #114.

And for those who are not citizens, or cannot provide proof of citizenship, they’re still going to have to provide, they’re going to have to submit for an ID card that will have a picture, that will have a fingerprint, and at the same time, also will have a valid social security or other identifying number. That goes into a federal database.
Where the information on Citizens is already held.

My, what a big file you have...

Like a purulent abcess, the GOP must be cleaned out, disinfected; or the patient buried. Time to scrub.

Pollster Luntz said every time Jorge said that stupid line “doing the work American wont do “ the rnc lost another Reagan blue collar voting district in the NE/Midwest. Why do you think the congressman were running away from him like the plague. Its was the amnesty crap.

You gotta wonder with stupidity like this.
Frank Luntz TOLD the RNC and White House in 2006 that the WH amnesty bill was driving off the Reagan blue collar vote
in the NE/Midwest and so was that stupid line Jorge said “do the work American wont do “ was political poison .
