There is a voluntary Social Security site that businesses can use to verify TIN/SSN. It is free, and despite that majority of business owners refuse to use it. That doesn’t sound like business owners are trying very hard to help, rather they look the other way and pay the low wages. EMPLOYERS ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!!!!

There are millions of fake (but real) Soc Sec numbers out there - That doesn’t solve the problem. But yet again, we would make businesses have another layer of paperwork and verification....because of a Gov't created problem.

bingo!...same way with drivers licenses...Try to pass off a fake drivers license to a trooper sometime and see how quick the report comes back
