If true, MeCain has just nailed the coffin shut on his candidacy. Of course, that’s probably already happened, by his support for this stinking bill.
Yes, on a certain level I have great respect for McCain. But he’s “damaged goods” in more ways than one, and therefore absolutely not the guy to be president. One of those reasons is the obvious long record of screwing conservatives and helping liberals, whatever his reasons. Another reason is probably the damage he suffered in his unimaginable POW experience. This wouldn’t be true of all POWs by any means, but I bet it’s true of McCain.

Do they? I didn’t realize that others thought that, as well. I respect him for his service, his sacrifice, and his terrible ordeal, but I don’t want, as my president, a man who has been held in enemy hands for years. If I were younger, I might have a more modern and enlightened view of that matter, but, alas, I’m not and I don’t.
