We’re getting a new fence put in this week. Two of the workers are Mexican, with limited English speaking ability. I asked one of them if he’s planning on learning to speak good English. He said “no”. I asked him if he wants to live in this country. He said “yes”. I asked him if he thought speaking English in America would make life better. He said “no”.
Why should they learn English? They have liberal groups lobbying for bi-lingual this and that. The banks and stores are catering to them with Spanish-language services.
Ask him to work elsewhere.
