Human rights group, International Christian Concern has said it has uncovered evidence to show that the recent anti-conversion bill in Himachal Pradesh was the result of an orchestrated campaign of lies and misinformation.

The persecution watchdog explains that a local Christian source, who requested anonymity, said that Hindu fundamentalist groups have been running a hate campaign against Christians, using the local newspapers, which normally have their reach limited to towns and cities.

Not surprising. The Hindutva types are every bit as disgusting as the Islamists. A rope and a lamppost for both, I sez.

The picture from the blog is misplaced. It is not from India, it’s a mosque, probably in Pakistan.

And to these Christian types, in the eastern Himalayas:

National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT)

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/nlft.htm

The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) was formed in December 1989 for the purpose of seceding from India in order to create an independent Christian fundamentalist state of Tripura. The group was banned under the Unlawful Activies Prevention Act of 1967.

The headquarters of NLFT is located in the Khagrachari district of Bangladesh, about 40-45 km southeast of Simanapur.

In Tripura a systematic surrender of arms by a faction of NLFT insurgents and NLFT fringe groups is due to the increased security pressure and to infighting within NLFT insurgent ranks. Since 2000 a few hundred militants have surrendered in small groups to the security forces, handing in their weapons. The NLFT leadership engaged in peace talks with Mizoram Chief Zoramthanga in April 2001, however the NLFT has not promised acceptance of any future peace process.

The NLFT has set up a number of camps in Bangladesh’s Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), in the Sylhet, Maulavi Bazar, Habiganj and Comilla regions. NLFT also has ties with Pakistan’s external intelligence agency, the Inter Services Intelligence Agency (ISI).

They’re not exactly kind towards Catholics or others, either.

If they are legit, then it’s about time somebody started doing something about the Hindutvas!

No, they are Talibanish- to the extent that barring Baptists, they’ll kill you even if you’re Catholic. And most of their victims are fellowmen who haven’t converted. Not Hindus, but tribals. Their rise has nothing to do with “Hindutva”.

I sure hope each and every one of those b@stards either surrender, or are caught and executed in the most painful manner, like it’s going on. They are thugs and drug-runners. Baptists they call themselves. But they are marked to die.

It never does, as long as you look the other way, regarding your baggage.

“If they are legit, then it’s about time somebody started doing something about the Hindutvas!”

Thats very stupid of you to want to bring it on the Christians. 99% percent of Hindus are not anti-Christians (same cannot be said about Muslims), only a handful of lunatics are just like you have the KKK and Aryan Nation in this country. If you think its legit that Christians start terrorism against India, it would invite a backlash that would wipe out Christianity considering the fact that they are only 2% of the Indian population. Hindus in general never had much problem with Christians and vice-versa. Be careful of what you ask for.

You really need to get that chip off your shoulder. There are plenty of Christian propagandists sites like the one from where the article was sourced that indulge in concerted attempts to stir up religious animosity. Any person knowledgeable about India would know better then to get himself/herself all worked up into a victim-hood mindset over a propagandist article.

I said nothing about terrorism. I just found it refreshing that a group of christians decided to take up arms in their own defense instead of just turning the other cheek and waiting to be slaughtered.

If they are engaged in terrorism, then I do not support them. I know nothing more of them than what I read in that article. So don’t go lumping me in with the likes of the KKK and Aryan nation unless you have some better evidence. I take great offense at that kind of uninformed slur.

That is what I am annoyed about. So, if you weren't to lump me in with them, Just what were you trying to say there? If that is not an attempt at a slur, I don't what is.

“I just found it refreshing that a group of christians decided to take up arms in their own defense instead of just turning the other cheek and waiting to be slaughtered.”

BTW, NLFT are a banned terrorist group not a group of christians deciding to take up arms in self-defense. NLFT has massacred an entire village of innocent people. The have killed Hindus, tribals animists and Catholics alike. If you find that “refreshing”, then something wrong with YOU and has nothing to do with me being offensive.

Had you simply posted that, instead of an attack, then all would have been fine.
