Ron Paul
You can give some details in your own words.
They’re afraid of him. The Republican establishment and so-called “conservative media” (i.e. Fox News) have done everything they can to discredit him, but that can’t change the fact that what he’s saying resonates with a lot of conservatives. I think those people are going to be in for quite a shock when the New Hampshire primary is over.
The head of the Michigan GOP wants Ron Paul banned from future debates due to his asinine comments about America bringing the 9/11 attacks on ourselves due to our Mideast policies.
Mr. Gun? Meet Mr. Foot.
BANG.
Hopalong Paul.
C’ya pardner. LOL
Few enough people watch the debates as it is - why would he want to take away the comic relief portion of the program?
Ron Paul ping!
Ron Paul needs at least one more debate to prove to everyone that he’s a flake.
If he thinks that silencing people because of their views is the way to approach a disagreement, the idiot should not be in any position of power. The Mich. GOP needs to find itself a new chairman.
I don't particularly like Paul, but I see no point in trying to shut him up for saying what he believes. Let him run and lose on his own merits.
At some point they will need to pare down the list of candidates in the debates to half a dozen or less for them to be productive, but that should be done using some less partial method such as poll numbers, not by picking the least controversial candidates.
However, for the time being, let him participate. If nothing else it will be interesting to see how the other candidates react to what he has to say. If he attracts support with speaking his mind, then he deserves to stay. If he doesn't then he will have gotten his fair chance.

“...The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said Wednesday that he will try to bar Ron Paul from future GOP presidential debates because of remarks the Texas congressman made that suggested the Sept. 11 attacks were the fault of U.S. foreign policy... “Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we’ve been over there. We’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years,” Paul said.
Even if one disagrees with him, Congressman Ron Paul politely raised an important issue, supported his reasoning with history, and refused to be intimidated by Mr. Giuliani’s emotional grandstanding. Without Paul, it would have been a very dry debate. Really, it makes no sense to remove the winner of the debate from the future ones.
