Los Angeles (AP) -- Activists planned a candlelight vigil Thursday to assure immigrants of their right to peaceful protests, weeks after another demonstration ended with police wielding batons and firing rubber bullets.
The office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said he planned to take part in the evening rally at MacArthur Park, the site of the May 1 melee.
At that event riot police beat demonstrators and journalists with batons and fired more than 240 rubber bullets into a crowd that included children. Officers say they responded after being pelted by rocks and bottles. No one was seriously hurt. Four investigations have been ordered.
Thursday's vigil was to follow a town hall-style meeting at a church by the Multi-Ethnic Immigrant Workers Organizing Network and the We Are American Coalition.

First word...”Activists”. Commie speak. No thanks. Not buying.
these “immigrants”(illegals) need to go back to wherever their home is and protest...
their problems don’t originate here; they originate in their homeland!!!

Every LA cop ought to call in sick today.
Bagman Tony Vee must not have an a delivery in Juarez tonight
WHERE do Marxists get the money and time to pull this sort of crap? Don’t they have jobs? Families?
If I lived in L.A. I would be there protesting their vigil!
In fact, I'm getting a pretty healthy chuckle at the thought...
No, they know exactly what they’re doing, one city, one town, one state at time.
Time for a case of “blue flu” ?
One thing I miss about so. Cali: you step out your front door—and you’re at the zoo.
But like owning a convertible, eventually the novelty is outweighed by the reality.
All the LA cops should move to Arizona.
Top Pay for Police Officer is achieved in only 6 years at $63,440.00!

Unfortunately, after taxes that comes to about 40k.
In todays world, that buys very little.
