Conference on World Affairs leaders are defending a panel on sex, teens and drugs held at Boulder High School, saying complaints from a parent and student are the first of their kind in a decade-old partnership with the school.
In a statement issued Tuesday, conference organizers, who reviewed recordings from the 90-minute panel, said the participants spoke "candidly and sensibly to the high school audience, providing cautionary information about alcohol consumption, drugs, sexual issues and teens."
Priscilla White, whose daughter, Daphne, attended a panel session, complained to the Boulder Valley school board last week, reading explicit excerpts from the panel's April 10 discussion. Daphne told participants during the panel's question-and-answer session that she was offended by their blasé attitudes toward sex. She accused them of presenting one-sided views and discrediting abstinence.Daphne was required to attend the "STDs: Sex, Teens and Drugs" panel in the high school's auditorium after her teacher, like several others, canceled class and instead took students to the CWA session.
A memo from incoming Boulder Valley Superintendent Chris King said no student should have been forced to attend the panel, and he said an apology is due to the White family.
The CWA statement was signed by Jim Palmer, director of the conference; Jane Butcher and Juli Steinhauer, co-chairwomen of the conference; and Maura Clare, director of public affairs for the event.
The White family, in a written statement Tuesday, said the CWA "is trying to defend what is indefensible" and said the panelists irresponsibly advised Boulder High students to have sex and use drugs.
Last week, Priscilla White complained to the school board that the panelists talked to hundreds of high school students about the difficulty of maintaining an erection while using condoms, the naturalness of experimenting with same-sex relationships and why drugs should be legalized.

This is a manifest lie, from what I heard on the audio link in reference to Ecstasy. The speaker freely endorsed and encouraged its use with no note of caution that I could discern.
From the few snippets I’ve heard—it was pretty much be responsible with your irresponsibility.
In other words, a green light on what you will.
For psychologists, these guys seemed to be pretty clueless about the implications of their abject pandering to adolescent mores.
Boulder looks like San Francisco lite. They both seem to be begging God to bring a natural calamity, with the hope it might knock some sense into them.

Boulder has always been Berkley in the Rockies. It was a hippie town 40 years ago, when the Denver cops chased out all the long-hairs, and still is.
So-called good parents and good teachers still in the system are enablers. If they are still in the system, they are part of the problem.
While there are teachers who are attempting to do their best, and many even do some good in their small sphere of influence, their presence in the government system continues to prop up those whose agenda is to destroy our nation and our children.
So-called “good” teachers open the doors to these schools every day. If these useful idiots can not see the evil they are feeding, then they should. If they know the full ramifications of their actions, then they are evil as well.
As for parents, they too are feeding this evil monster every day their child attends government school. Even if their local government schools have somehow miraculously escaped the moral and spiritual decay, the presence of their children in the school feeds the evil elsewhere in their communities and state.
Let’s look at the parents and teachers who make the government schools possible
Parents:
1) Stupid ( or useful idiots): These parents are completely clueless about the moral and spiritual injury being done to their child.
2) Foolish: Some foolishly think their immature children can be a grain of salt or a glimmer of light while forgetting that powerful teachers are tirelessly proselytizing their child into the religion of Secular Humanism and Marxism. In the very limited amount of quality time that children actually have in their school day, these parents believe that they can undo the damage done at school.
2) Greedy: These are the parents who know the government schools are a moral cesspool, but would rather have a larger mortgage or monthly car payment. These parents too foolishly rationalize that they will undo the government school damage at home.
4)Threatened: Those parents who know the government schools are evil, but have no choice. If their child didn’t show up at the government indoctrination center police would soon be at the door. They would be facing courts and prison, and their children foster care.
5)Evil: These parents are among those who wish to destroy our nation, and send their child to government schools knowing the presence of their child in the system furthers their goal.
There are 3 kinds of teachers:
1) Stupid ( useful idiot): These teachers are too clueless to even know there is a problem, or think they can tame the monster.
2) Greedy: These teachers know the government system is evil, but do it for a paycheck.
3) Evil: They know the government system is evil, and use it to hurt children and ultimately destroy our nation.
What can Christians do:
1) Strengthen yourself spiritually.
2)Remove you own child from government school immediately!
Children are our most important mission field. Sadly, 70% to 80% of children leave the faith by graduation from government schools. Fish your own child out of the cesspool.
3) Encourage your church to start low tuition or free schools. Consider teaching in a Christian school as a volunteer. ( Remember that Catholics did this for more than 100 years.) Your community’s children are really the most important mission field.
4) Join with your neighbors to elect representatives dedicated to closing DOWN the government schools.
5) Help to bring about a spiritual revival in our nation. Do as the Mormons do. Send your sons out for 2 year missions to both the rich and poor here in the U.S. Go as a couple for 2 years to preach the gospel of repentance and salvation through Christ.
Remember: Government schools can NOT be reformed. The entire system from the colleges of education, textbook publishers, to the NEA are thoroughly infiltrated with Leftist/Leninists/Secular Humanists. It is like the alien in the “Alien” movies. It can’t be tamed, reformed, petted, spoken to nicely, or caged. If we don’t eliminate it now, it will come roaring and smashing out of the chest destroying out nation in the process.
Government schools are destroying our nation. It is that serious.
