US-led coalition forces, with assistance from NATO and Afghan forces, were able to track them to the village of Sarwan using “modern technology,”...

IOW, that wasn't a suppository, Akhmed.

Does this mean the Italians have to return the journalist? It would only seem fair.

Nice to see their freedom was short lived, literally. Good news throughout the article, especially about the leadership. So too in Iraq are the brains being taken out save for those in Iran and Syria. Hopefully, plans are being laid...

“modern technology” here probably equals a “Digital Angel GPS/RFID” type sub dermal implanted device into these animals, and NATO then released them into the wild to track their migration routes.

As a a side benefit it also got Prodi his journalist back, and got the NATO brass Prodi’s temporary good will.

Implanted in their cheeks as described by the American al Qaeada operative Timothy McVeigh.

The Taliban has lost most of its top commanders over the last year and NATO’s International Security Assistance Force anticipates the Taliban’s operational coherence and morale will suffer as a result, spokeswoman Lt Col Maria Carl said.

Yet hardly a peep out of the MSM regarding such enormous momentum that our side clearly has.

Good idea...they must have knocked ‘em out and planted tracking devices in the Taliban prisoners before they were released. Works every time.

Ha ha

Presuming they were tracked, I would not be surprised to hear that more than lat/lon coordinates were transmitted. Once you have a little transmitter in you, all kinds of other data could be included in the stream... for example, voice data.

Okay, I give up? I don’t get it. How is this “tagging” done? If someone can find him to tag him, can’t he simply be “tagged” with a bullet first? Are we talking undercover operatives or spies doing this tagging? I hope someone is about to “tag” Osama.
