I wouldn’t see a problem with it, if it were only for immediate family members and not for those with temp. work visas. Immigration policies should not be driven only by desires for monetary gains and/or lower labor costs. Allegiance to the USA and assimilation is much more likely with family-only immigrants.
Why don’t they just grant amnesty to NATIONS—heck, the human race—and cut out needless “laws”?

Already, millions in bribes have been doled out to Senators serving on the Senate Banking Committee (including Hillary). Goal: Bury lending scam investigations. Create another whitewash complete with a federal bailout of subprime lenders.
What ought to be done is massive RICO case filings against mortgage lenders.
Of course, we could vote the bastards out. But with voting controlled by computers, that option may not work.

I don't know who the R's are going to expect to vote for them in the next election, but it aint gonna be me if this travesty goes through. Let the illegals - err new citizens - vote for them.
The R's may not have enough power to get things through the house and senate but they still have enough power to raise a little hell and block crap like this. They and the President just refuse to do it.
They don't have the best interests of my family or myself at heart, so why bother to vote for them.

There is no way in Hell that we can expect to assimilate 40 to 50 million Mexicans along with the other Central American Hispanics AND the 30 or 40 million Muslims, into our culture.
