Washington, DC -- Shots rang out outside a church in southeast DC Tuesday, sending mourners running for shelter and interrupting the funeral of a local teen.
No injuries have been reported in the attack.
A trail of shell casings littered the street outside Johenning Baptist Church where friends and family of 16-year-old Delonte Greene, known in his Barry Farms neighborhood as "Joe Rock," were saying their final farewells.
Police do not have any suspects or a motive in this case and are not certain if the shooting was intended toward the funeral. Some witnesses speculated residents from a rival neighborhood were behind the shooting, but DC police have not verified those claims.

Just keepin’ it real, yo!
Sarcasm alert ——— This is very sad. Probably the dead boy is a victim of gang violence. The article says that they think people from a rival neighborhood may have been the source of the gunshots. I guess we can’t say a rival gang, we have to be politically correct about gang violence.
When an entire culture has zero respect for life, what makes anyone expect any sort of respect for death?
This headline is obviously false.
(Guns are outlawed in D.C.)
No, as I pointed out in my original comment, he was a suicide.
sorry, I stand corrected.
Same thing happened at Tookie’s funeral in Los Angeles...
But who put him up to it?
Are they sure this was a funneral and not a rap concert?
Why is this news?
Wonder what product one would have to sell to earn that nickname.
