my nieces and nephews can’t get over the fact that you will never find a suburban American teenager working at a fast food restaurant here. I don’t know how far out you have to go to find that. i think you can find that in Frederick, actually, but not in Fairfax Co. The service industry here is almost 100% foreign-born.
I’ve noticed that too. In OH 80% of fast-food employees are teens or early 20s high school or college types, generally.
Do teenagers here not work jobs then or what?
