Otherwise all I hear is “lets talk with those who want to kill us (and probably, “lets stop supporting those who our enemies hate and maybe they’ll leave US alone....)”
Counter WHAT? Ron Paul presented a declaration of war for the Congress to vote on...but the Congress decided to go all War Power-ish on this war and make it a fight under Vietnam rules. If you consider Paul’s policy aim, and the aim of having a clear war to fight and win wrong, fine, but at least be able to state what about them is wrong besides words you’ve put in his mouth!
