and yet advertisers continue to advertise on newsweek.
Perhaps this science editor could support a resurgence in phrenology.
But you have to forgive her, like all good communists, she supports the “science” that those who oppose communism are mentally ill.
Newsweek should be forbidden as ANY kind of source material for academic works.

... Pretending that negotiation will disinvent Iranian nuclear weapons despite years worth of sand kicked in their faces ... pretending war never settles anything when it drives history and the rise and fall of civilizations ... pretending they support troops they despise ... pretending they are Catholics while denouncing every church teaching ... pretending they are big hearted idealist while supporting ideas and movements that have murdered hundreds of millions of people ... pretending their cowardice and lethargy are humanitarian goodwill, while resolutely ignoring the pleas of ordinary Iraqis for help against their murderers ... pretending every principled disagreement with their own idiocies must be mental disorders, just like the communists did, while simultaneously insisting on the brilliance of Foucault who made his name denouncing that practice ...
It is too easy. A mental duel with liberalism is like shooting puppies with a machinegun...

The Democrats ARE mentally ill. But its forbidden to pass judgment on them in polite company.

Krauthammer isn’t practicing, probably to maintain his own sanity. Having been around medical field for many many years my personal opinion is that most shrinks are nuts.

Liberalism: a form of mental illness.

Totally true! I'm an MD, and I have never met a single psychitrist that didn't have some kind of psychologic disese. My best friend is a psychiatrist and she thinks people go into the field to help them understand what's wrong with themselves. BTW, remember when all of those psychitrists in the '60s certified Goldwater as "insane"?

Sharon Begley...is a whack job.
I wonder if she wants to put all the soldiers in Iraq who believe in their mission on the couch.
Good lord, I get so tired of such idiots.
Guys, this kind of stuff wouldn't have been so irritating if Republicans were still in charge...I wish conservatives would've gotten out and voted last November!!

I used to look forward to reading Sharon Begley’s science columns. Sad to see she’s come down with BDS. Get will soon, Sharon.

Kerry Sulkowicz, clinical professor of psychiatry at New York University Medical Center. Aw shucks, I guess a moronic member of the great unwashed such as myself has no choice but to trust the ANALisys of a pompus academic elitist.
These people are beyond sickening. None of them seemed too concerned about Bill's pathological lying and history of physically/sexually abusing women. Nor did they spend 30 seconds delving into the dysfunctional environment he was "nurtured" in.

“Yes, I’m optimistic. I believe in our nation. I believe in the greatness of the American people.. and I understand history enough to know that most of the challenges we face now are small in relation to the challenges we’ve overcome in the past.
How can one not be optimistic? ::rant off::”
My comment regarding lack of optimism was directed solely as regards GWB. But clearly you overlooked that in order to focus on diminishing what WE already know and understand..... Bush’s Open Borders and Amnesty policies will destroy our national security and sovereignty, when more than a few brave men have fought and died to keep it so. Hell, they’re still fighting for it...while the backdoor is intentionally left open. Makes sense to you?
“Hell, it was Ronald Reagan who brought us the amnesty that people fear now”
Hopefully, we’re smart enough not to make the same mistake twice.

Sharon Begley is a senior editor for science at Newsweek, which apparently entitled her to conduct a tired psychoanalysis of President Bush and his state of denial about the war in Iraq, suggested earlier in his life by his comforting his mother as his sister Robin died of leukemia at age three, and his alcohol abuse as an adult. She may also be the loudest opponent of intelligent design in the media.

“Where did all this protectionist nonsense come from?”
Where did this “Americans last” nonsense come from? Why do you think this country exists?
“But for the jobs created by NAFTA, the ENTIRE nation of Mexico would be in the US, instead of what is here.”
Actually, a case can be made that NAFTA INCREASED illegal immigration.
“And if a Mexican truck can pass as US inspection, the driver can pass a US driving test, and they have liability insurance - theyd be no more or less dangerous than the people who drive domestically.”
No one believes our government intends to actually do this or is capable of carrying it out.

So, you concede. How nice. This sort of response is common from the ignorant.
