According to the Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) in New York City, the agency that handles adoptions and from which Giuliani takes the adoptions stats he's been using, there was an increase in adoptions during Giuliani's term. However, that has nothing whatsoever to do with abortion. The agency only does adoptions for abused children or children of parents who have had their parental rights legally terminated or who can no longer care for their child. There is no program within that agency or any other agency in New York City that provides adoptions as an alternative to abortion. None. In addition, the adoption numbers that Giuliani keeps repeating, and that Deroy has also used, include children from the age of birth to 18 years of age. Using these adoption statistics to defend Giuliani from his pro-life critics amounts to an outright lie.

I have never said anything about his adoption or abortion statistics.
The issue I am taking challenge with are these folks saying G mans a liberal. The mans a clear conservative in his ideology, does he march lockstep on social issues with the party or the hard right? Nope, but to claim he’s a liberal is just rhetorical nonsense.
