At least they got the headline right in this thread, even though *Michael* is spelled wrong! RUN, FRED, RUN!!!! LOL!
Fred Thompson SMACK DOWN on Micheal Moore
*Is he threatening Moore with Bush’s evil Gitmo?
*what a dork
*Where the *BLEEP* did that come from....
**BLEEP*. I hope that’s indicative of the coming campaign season
*This is just to play to the fundy base
*So Fred actually agrees with Castro? Putting dissenters in mental hospitals?
*He’s a *BLEEP*.
*yeah, I know him from his Law&Order days
*Fascinating story, that!
*A *BLEEP*ing ELECTED OFFICIAL threatening a US Citizen? What the *BLEEP*?
*Fred’s not in the Senate. He’s also a private citizen. *Oops. Sorry. WAS he an elected official at one time?
*He was a senator in the 90s.
*And now he’s just a jowly old blowhard, who has about as much chance of getting elected
*Tennessee’s senator, I think.
*aren’t there laws about Pvt Citizens making these kinds of threats against Pvt Citizens?
*I think there might very well be.
*He didn’t respond to any of the issues Mike brought up. *Just name-called
*Thompson is playing desperate defense
*He’s afraid of having his *BLEEP* handed to him by Moore! *That was creepy
*Check out Free Republic — lots of FReepers seem to think of the current round of Pub candidate debates as nothing but an opening act for Thompson’s announcement.
*He’s getting to be a “cult figure” kind of guy over there. *So Fred Thompson has come out against torture!
*Fascist Freddy’s not short of time...
*What...an...*BLEEP*...
*Hum, funny how the whole point of Moore flies over the Repugs head...
*I never thought he looked like a prez—he’s hideous. Usually (except for LBJ) they’re not nearly that ugly.

While I will leave it up to the conservatives to debate your hypocrisy and the Treasury Department to determine whether the box upon box of cigars violates the trade embargo, I hereby challenge you to a health care debate. I've seen ads for legal pre-Castro Cuban cigars. I have no idea how well they would have aged.

Reminds me of another actor ( Jason Robards ) as a wise father figure taking Michel Moore to the wood shack and give him a good smack down....lol

Thanks! That has to be one of the all timers in funny lines. I had a great pic of Hartman as Sinatra to go with it, but now it doesn’t show up. BTW I saw a thing where that schmuck Al Franken was talking about the sketch that line was from and he said that a writer for SNL named Robert Smigel had that line for a while but no place to use it. Somehow he came upon the idea of Sinatra saying it and, lo, the Sinatra Group sketch was born. Funny stuff.

It's the derision in his voice and the superior mocking tone he conveys....ever so true. :)
