What also kills me is all the joking around and casual talking to customers when a line is going out the door.

That drives me crazy....anywhere there is a line....Home Depot, the grocery store, Walmart....There will be a long line and the cashier will chat with the customer, interfering with and slowing down the transaction. What really drives me nuts is when two cashiers sit there chatting, while many people just wait in line.

I understand the need to be nice and courteous, but it shouldn't happen at the cost of my valuable time.

And of course the two cashiers who are talking to each other instead of waiting on customers aren't being nice or courteous.
