Lots of folks where purged on that Rudy thread
I just mentioned this on another thread. Not only did many get banned, but a large amount of old timers fell to the axe. It was almost like anyone around here since '99 was a fervent Rudy supporter.

I was shocked at how nasty she was to Mark all the time.
To: Vision
Why does the USPS deliver mail 6 days a week? Would anyone mind if they lowered it to 5 days? That would be a 17% reduction in their labor cost right there.

“privatization would result in poor service.”
Can you provide one example in the history of the world that proves your statement above? Take your time, I’m here for 4 more hours.

Unions???? Say good night Gracie.
To: mewzilla
You know...IMHO if we could get the stranglehold of the Unions and their corruption out of most of our industries...including the USPS...the sheer amount of items purchased would skyrocket...simply because it would become more affordable to produce said goods and services.

From my link...
...But in the most recent negotiation, the Postal Service didn't even try to go to arbitration with the union. It just surrendered.
I won't print what I'm thinking....

I’m sure you are a hard worker.
But as Hedgecock just said, 80% of the postal costs are union labor.
Besides that, service is down. All clocks were just removed from offices so customers would not be able to track wait times. In my local office, there are a few hardworking front employees, but the typical one is this guy who will just get up at any time to take a leisurely walk to the back for a few minutes to get himself a soda, when when 20+ people are in line waiting for one or two clerks.
