All of these Western European nations, but also the Slovaks, the Czechs and the Dutch, published law enforcement estimates arguing that between 40 and 90 percent of the narcotics traffic was dominated by mainly Albanian gangs. Interpol followed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) also raised warning flags about the rise of Albanian gangs trafficking heroin, sex slaves, contraband, and large quantities of arms.
