KABUL, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A NATO air strike killed 60 Taliban insurgents including three important commanders in Jalai district of Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, provincial police chief Asmatullah Alizai told Xinhua Tuesday. NATO air forces bombarded some Taliban hideouts in the district on Monday night after receiving a credible tip-off, Alizai said, adding he did not know how many militants were injured.
The killed commanders were Mullah Abdul Hanan, Mullah Zekria and Mullah Zarif, Alizai said.
A searching operation for Taliban remnants in the area is going on, he added.

That’s why I put “commanders” in quotes. They’re all really just a bunch of imbecile, aimless, terrorist punks. :O)

Air strike could mean anything from our Air Force to Canadian F-18s to Norwegian F-16s.

Recently, the Canadians have been taking care a majority of firefights for us in Afghanistan. Many thanks to PM Harper so that we can concentrate on our efforts to pacify Iraq.

Hey, I’m not taking anything away from the Canadians, they are still great friends. Kudos to them in any case, and especially if they got these kills.

Are the Turks actually involved in Offensive operations, not just drinking tea in the more peaceful parts of Afghanistan like the French are doing?
