I know one of the people cited in this article. His battle for a libertarian vision of Islam is a very lonely one.

You nailed it Great RJ. Either “Moderate Muslims” lack the courage of their convictions, or, there is really no such thing as a “Moderate Muslim”. It is my guess that the latter hypothesis is correct.
