KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Calling for an end to the war, democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke in Kansas City Saturday afternoon. In his first campaign visit here, Obama spoke to a crowd of more than 1,500 people at the Downtown Marriott, hitting hard on the war, health insurance and the president.
In a packed auditorium, sweltering with body heat, Obama greeted the crowd.
"How's it going, Kansas City," the presidential hopeful said speaking over applause and cheers.
"The day that this president steps down, the entire world will breath a sigh of relief," said attacking President Bush.

Someone needs to tell Obama that Bush is not running for re-election. Is Bush the only target that Obama has? Why not bash Hillery? Scared?

What is curious, is that a number of those who were pushing for Bush’s re-election in 2004, have turned to the Obama campaign as a place to exert their talents (fundraising, publicity, polishing up candidate’s resume), in an effort to forestall Herself, the Cold and Joyless, from simply romping to a coronation in 2008.
Barack, the Magic Negro, has approximately the same chance of actually getting nominated, right now, of a snowball in Hell. It could be done, but it is going to take a pretty big snowball, starting out.
A cold snap in Hell probably would not hurt his chances, either.
Somebody is going to have to step in and save the Democratican party from itself.

The only times I ever see Democrats standing with an American flag are when they are running for office, calling for free abortions, or attacking President Bush and the war.

More seriously, the folks who make millions billions in "health care" --- for profit hospitals, insurance and pharmaceutical companies, etc., will play pretty damned rough when anyone seriously begins to stand in their way.
He [or anyone else] better have their own insurance policies well up-to-date before betting their own sweet bippy they're gonna change things in the colossus we call the health care industry.
