This wasn’t thought out but I’m not so sure it isn’t a good idea. When we had fire drills we never knew if it was real or not and were expected to act accordingly. If parents are brought in the loop and the children aren’t frightened, I could see this as a good drill. I’m not impressed with the hiding though. If a fire or bomb threat, what do you do? You get them out.

If someone is going to threaten my child to the point that they honestly believe that their life is in danger then they are guilty of child abuse. I will hate them as I would hate anyone else that would threaten my child's life and act accordingly.
They screwed up and went way over the line. If I had been around as they were doing this I would have “Neutralized” the threat with great prejudice!

You can’t possibly be serious that this was a good excercise. This should have made ones blood boil. And in Tennessee. I can’t believe there are fathers down there banging on a few doors.
