||||||||
Recent photos of Kim Pyong-il, the half-brother of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il and the country's ambassador to Poland, have been made public, according to a report by NK Daily, a website (www.dailynk.com) that specializes in North Korean news.
The photos also show Kim Pyong-ils daughter and son, Eun-Song and In-kang, who have until now lived a sheltered and private lives. They were published on the city of Narew's website (www.narew.gmina.pl) in March. The captions say that Ambassador Kim and his children reviewed industrial facilities with Narew city officials, viewed art displays, and participated in sporting events on Feb. 10. The photos show Ambassador Kim looking around a local trading company, son In-kang playing table tennis, and daughter Eun-song playing the piano.
Ambassador Kim is the younger half-brother of Kim Jong-il. The dictator has a full sister, Kim Kyung-hee, who is married to Jang Sung-take, a senior officer in the Worker's Party of North Korea. Another half-brother, Kim Yong-il, died in 2000. Half-sister Kim Kyung-jin is married to North Korea's Ambassador to Austria. After being appointed his father's successor in 1974, Kim pushed his siblings out of power and sent them to work overseas. |
