I just love rumors in small towns.

I survived Hurricane Floyd here in eastern NC and the ‘rumor’ shortly after the flood subsided was that thousands of people (thousands!, mind you) had been killed in Rocky Mount alone.

The federal government supposedly had many refrigerated tractor trailers at the local hospital for storage of said victims.

Of course it was proven to be an outright fabrication, later on.

Carry on, anyhow.

Osama Obama heard a rumor that 10,000 people died in Kansas and that they only had 40% of the National Guard resources IN Kansas because of the war in Iraq.
