I too, spent three separate occasions / appearances in court on a simple traffic citation..
I too, lost 3 days pay due to said court appearances.
I too, ended up having the case dismissed, and "ordered" to "thank" the city attorney for wasting my time..
I too, had built a case, taken photos, mapped out the intersection, and was ready to provide evidence that the police officer was "mistaken", but the police officer never showed up..

The court did allow that I didn't have to pay court costs, but that was not going to make up for time and money lost..
It really ticked me off that I wasn't allowed to show how the officer was wrong.
