News that John Edwards made an undisclosed sum as a "consultant" to a hedge fund, the very sort of investment vehicle designed only for the very rich, elicited this preposterous defense from him: "Democrat John Edwards said Tuesday he worked for a hedge fund between presidential campaigns to learn about financial markets and their relationship to poverty - and to make money, too." Tom Maguire is surely not the only person to find this explanation absurd:
Yep. Who believes anything he says?
That's not exactly "Hold the presses!" news...
Edwards thinks that voters are stupid, although anyone who votes for him must be.
“The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing.
So what does Edwards know?
Let me give you another famous quote:
“That fellow seems to me to possess but one idea, and that is a wrong one.
Well....duh....he’s a DEMOCRAT! It’s part of their DNA!
Dinsd- I mean, Johnnie!
Democrats think all voters are stupid. They're about half right.
I thought “The Hedgehog” was a porno actor.
Nuts!! Beat me to it!!
"The fox knows many tricks, the hedgehog only one--one great one."

Apparently the one-trick pony needs money. Or, more likely, like most greedy rich people, he just can’t get enough.
Wanting money a perfectly okay thing as far as I’m concerned..just don’t tell me you did it (while head of the poverty center) in order to learn about poverty as you grab the cash and stash it tax free in the Cayman Islands.
This gets even better. Apparently, Edwards’ hedge fund got into this subprime mortgage lending scam that probably deserves its own post. Here’s a Washington Post article where the Silk Pony looks like an idiot where he says he “asked about predatory lending practices and was assured there were not” or some such. Heaven forbid he should get into office again in any capacity:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/10/AR2007051002277.html
Isn’t that wonderful? Cleaning up while scamming the poor..perhaps he was really learning about the relationship between financial institutiona and poverty-—by creating more of it while simultaneously serving as head of a Poverty Center he created.
Toast.
Another funny point is that he was hired as a “consultant” but says he took the job to “learn”. One would think that there’s a certain inconsistency for consultant that doesn’t know anything could be hired a probably a pretty penny. The bottom line, the British cigarette boy is a fraud...
No mention about this whatsoever on CNN today. What a shock.
